Practice Nurse – Part-Time

South Kempsey Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and caring Practice Nurse to join our well-established and friendly team on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a wide range of clinical services, including triage, immunisations, wound care, health assessments, and chronic disease management.
- Support GPs with clinical procedures and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Educate and reassure patients regarding immunisations, procedures, and general health concerns.
- Conduct preventative screening and contribute to community health promotion initiatives.
- Monitor and manage clinical stock levels, including safe disposal of expired items.
- Uphold infection control practices, including in-house sterilisation and staff education.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, infection prevention, and other regulatory standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA and professional indemnity insurance.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Desired Criteria:
- Previous experience in a general practice or similar clinical setting.
- Familiarity with chronic disease management and clinical procedures.
- Experience in health promotion and community engagement.
